Terms of sale
Last updated: 1 October 2026.
Who is selling
The butti.dev shop is run by Butti, a freelance developer based in Spain. For any question about an order, write to me from the contact page including the order reference (it starts with BD-).
What is sold
Prebuilt website templates, delivered as a downloadable file (digital content), and fixed-price services: website audits, maintenance and add-ons for existing websites. Each product page describes in detail what is included. Custom work is not sold here: it is arranged separately through Services or Contact. Pre-built websites are delivered in the same way as templates and, for the purposes of these terms (delivery, licence, author credit, withdrawal and warranty), are treated as templates.
Prices
Prices are in euros and are the ones you see on the product page, in the cart and on the payment page before confirming. They may change at any time, but your order always keeps the price it had when you placed it.
How to buy
You add products to the cart, enter your name and email, accept these terms and pay on Stripe's secure page. The contract is concluded when the payment is confirmed. You get an order reference (BD-…) to check its status at any time.
Payment
Payment is handled by Stripe, which accepts cards and, depending on your device, Apple Pay or Google Pay. You enter your card details directly on Stripe: they never go through butti.dev and I never see them.
Delivery
Templates: as soon as the payment is confirmed, the order page shows the download button for the full file, without watermarks. Services: I will email you within 24 business hours to ask for what I need and get started; each service's timeline is on its page. Maintenance is sold by the month: each purchase covers one month, with no automatic renewal or commitment.
Template licence
Buying a template gives you a non-exclusive licence to use it in one project (one website, yours or an end client's). You may modify it as much as you like. You may not resell, redistribute, share, sublicense or publish it as a template or theme, as is or modified. Copyright remains with Butti. Third-party fonts or assets included keep their own licence, which is inside the file.
Author credit on templates
Every website built with a template must keep the credit “Designed and developed by butti.dev” visible, with its link to https://butti.dev, wherever it comes: the site footer, the dashboard login and the emails it sends. You can adapt its style to your design, but you may not remove it, hide it or change the wording. It is not a watermark: it is the author attribution and part of the licence. Removing it breaches the licence and means losing the warranty and support, and any claim based on them. I will first notify you by email, giving you 15 days to restore it; if it is not fixed, I will send a formal legal demand, which may end in termination of the licence and removal of the website.
Right of withdrawal
As a consumer you have 14 calendar days from purchase to withdraw without giving reasons and ask for a refund. For templates this period applies whether or not you have downloaded it. For services and add-ons, checkout asks you to request that they start before those 14 days end (article 103 of the Spanish consumer protection law): you can still withdraw, but you will pay for the work already done and any changes started or made will be removed; once the service is completed, even within those 14 days, it can no longer be withdrawn or refunded.
How to withdraw and refunds
Write to me from the contact page with the order reference and a clear statement that you are withdrawing; you can use the model below, although it is not required. I will refund the amount due within 14 calendar days of your notice, using the same payment method you used, at no cost to you.
Model withdrawal form
To Butti, butti.dev: I hereby give notice that I withdraw from my contract for the following product or service: [name]. Order reference: [BD-…]. Ordered on: [date]. Consumer's name: [name]. Order email: [email]. Date: [date].
Warranty and support
Templates/Prebuilt websites: 3-month warranty from purchase, including troubleshooting and support. If during that time the template does not work as described on its page, I will fix it; if that is not possible, I will refund you. If it has any error when you receive it, help to fix it is free and I add 2 more months of free support. The demo on the product page may show visual glitches that are not in the delivered website. This warranty only applies while the author credit remains visible. Custom websites: 9 months of support from delivery. Services: if they do not match what you ordered, I will fix it or refund you. None of this limits the legal guarantee of conformity or any other consumer rights that cannot be waived.
Liability
I am not responsible for problems caused by changes you make to a template, by the hosting or third-party services you choose, or by uses other than those described. Nothing in these terms limits your statutory rights as a consumer.
Your data
To handle the order I keep your name, email, what you bought, the date, your IP address and the consents you ticked. How they are processed, for how long and how to exercise your rights is explained in the privacy policy.
Applicable law
These terms are governed by Spanish law. If you are a consumer, you may go to the courts of your place of residence.
Changes to these terms
I may update these terms; each order stores the version you accepted, and that is the one that applies to it.
